Here are the archives for Alex and David 6-12 mos....

(3/11/05)

We've finally had our 6 mos check up this week.. David is weighing in at 18lbs 2 oz 27 inches and Alex is16lbs 11oz and 26 1/2 inches.  David is also finally cutting his first tooth.  I'd say they are handling teething rather well.  The Doc gave the OK to start finger foods within the next few weeks, and advised that he'd like to see them mainly on mashed table food by nine months - WOW!  They can both sit up pretty well for a little while but not fully stable.  They love to laugh and smile, and just babble as much as possible.  They are also sleeping very well.  Some nights are better than others. I'm not going to complain though as we have truly been blessed with wonderful boys. As soon as I can get a picture of David's tooth I'll get it posted!

It's been awhile since we've updated due to some PC issues, but we are back up and running!  Full steam ahead.. That's about what David is saying too as he is about ready to start crawling around.  He is very mobile currently whether sitting or rolling around.  It's just a matter of time until he figures out how to coordinate his movements.  David has 4 teeth currently and I believe this week Alex will finally get his first tooth.  They are eating just about anything we give them and we're slowly doing away with the jarred baby food!  Just like their poppa they LOVE Italian!

The  boys had their last check up about at month ago - 10 mos. old.  David weighed in at 20lbs, and Alex at almost 19lbs.  They'll be 11 mos. old this coming Friday.  These past few months have flown  by.  They've gone camping with us 3 times. The last trip took us to North Carolina.  They've also been to several Nationals game.  Alex is the sleeper of the two, not only did he take several naps during the last Nationals game, he also slept through the fireworks on the 4th.  David on the other hand was wide-eyed watching the sky.  It was great.  They are both crawling, Alex just started last week.  David will be walking for sure by his birthday.  He's not quite ready to stand without assistance, but he is close!  Now for the teeth... David has 6! and Alex has two.  They have a lot to babble about and it's just great to watch them laugh at each other.  For a good time, just put them in a tub of water together and be prepared for a barrel of laughter.  They are just the greatest!  Oh yeah, the newest "Twin" comment:  "Oh look, one has curly hair, the other has straight!"
