Fall is here and the boys are doing great. They are finally saying multiple word sentences, David more than Alex. They surprise us everyday with new words or phrases. They had fun in their first outing for Halloween. We've been on several camping excursions with the last one taking us back to Va. beach with our friends. The boys had fun on the beach collecting shells. They've also found a love of trains, the words spoke most often in our house these days is "Choo Choo" Of course tractors and boats, planes are cars are all very popular as well. They get to enjoy the local horses, cows and sheep.

The boys are just two months away from their 2nd Birthday! Time just flies! We took them to the beach over the weekend. Barring a few incidents that shall remain nameless here, we had a good time. We camped just minutes from the beach. They love camping and they are just great wherever we go. They do not like the ocean or beach (YET!) They seem quite nervous about the waves, and really just would rather not put their feet in the sand. Needless to say, we'll be back. They'll like it sometime! :)

Summers is around the corner, and the boys are still spending 90% of the time outdoors. I can't remember the last time I had to pick up toys from the living room. Lately their new thing is the pool and big slide that we got for them. The boys are doing wonderful. They are healthy (maybe sick once with a fever a few months ago), growing (they have to be close to 30lbs, all we know is they are heavy!), smart, funny, and a true joy to us each and every day. Their recent trips include the Circus in DC, strawberry festival, and a week long camping trip (they were great!). We look forward to taking them to the beach this year.

Spring is here! The boys are loving their new outdoor playground. When home they are outside all day long with the exception of eating and sleeping. Every nook and cranny of our yard is explored by our two explorers. David is really beginning to make decisions when given choices - examples: what to wear to which shoes, and which cup to drink or eat out of. Alex is very laid back and can easily keep himself entertained, though when outdoors they stick close together and are each others best companion AND comedian.

The boys are now 18mos old. They are absorbing and learning so much. As of their appt last week, David is 26lbs and Alex is 25 lbs. David is about 1/2 inch taller than Alex. They can both say Mommy, daddy, doggie, bye bye, uh oh, and what we think is Happy. We are looking forward to the spring and summer and the many adventures we will share.

HAPPY NEW YEAR! The past year has been very exciting watching the boys grow and learn. Every day brings a new experience for us all. They are happy, healthy and just a joy to all. You can easily see their differences as they interact with people and the toys they choose to play with. Alex is very hands on and it appears he likes building things. David, while also very hands on, appears to be more sensory and likes to create music. They both love the outdoors and exploring our yard. It's always a challenge to bring them inside, no matter what it's like outside.

The twins are now 14 mos old and yes they are finally WALKING!!! They are still a little unstable and crawl, but it appears they have a preference for trying to walk wherever they want to go. We just recently spent several days camping at VA Beach. It was nice way to say goodbye to the warm sunny weather! Now to the cold... BRrrrr...
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! We have all made it! Alex and David are officially one year old. Ok, well they are almost 13 mos old now. They are doing great. They are not walking yet, but i'm sure they will be soon. They are just growing so fast. As of their last check up David is 23lbs and Alex is 21lbs. David is working on 4 (yes 4!) molars and Alex is getting his second set of upper teeth. Both are saying 'mama' and 'dada' along with a bunch of other noises. They both sign for milk and we are continually showing them more sign language. This summer, they've been camping, down to the beach, several Nationals baseball games and have even been on their first train ride (Ok so it was a miniature train, but it still counts!).
